Getting a flavour of New York. Today, we wrapped up the NYC leg of a US business mission with business leaders from 33 #Singapore food service companies and the Restaurant Association of Singapore. Visiting the Urban Hawker, New York City Economic Development Corporation and NYC Department of Small Business Services gave our companies insights into setting up an F&B business in the city; we also learnt more about other ingredients that are key to success. These include exploring cutting-edge payment tech, data-driven personalisation, and Al-powered decision-making with Mastercard Experience Center and Gastrograph AI, and automation's impact on operational and manpower needs with Kernel Foods, a robot-run plant-based concept. We also dove deep into hospitality and culture building with Danny Meyer, restaurateur and founder of the Union Square Hospitality Group, and site selection with Capricorn Retail Advisors.
