Terms of Use for Events

This Agreement (hereinafter referred to as "this Agreement") is between you and Enterprise Singapore. This Agreement governs your access to and the use of the enterprisesg.gov.sg website and all its subdomains and webpages thereunder which are managed by Enterprise Singapore (the “Website”). 

By registering for and/or attending any workshops, seminars, forums, networking functions, webinars or any other forms of events (“Events”) through the Website, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the terms and conditions of this Agreement and that you accept to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree to these terms and conditions, you may not register to participate in any Event(s). 

Enterprise Singapore reserves the right, at its sole and absolute discretion, to change, modify, add to or remove any portion of this Agreement, in whole or in part, at any time. Any such variation of the Agreement shall be posted on this page and your participation in the events after such variation has been posted will constitute your agreement to the Agreement so varied.

All prices stated are inclusive of the prevailing Goods and Services Tax (“GST”). All transactions will be done using the Singapore currency. Enterprise Singapore is not responsible for any currency conversion rates used by the banks or credit card companies for transactions made in or through the registration website and payment gateway.

Enterprise Singapore shall make every reasonable effort to ensure that the prices and descriptions listed on the Website are correct. Events and prices listed on the Website are current and good, and are subjected to changes without prior notice. While Enterprise Singapore takes great care to ensure accuracy of these prices, we will not be held liable for any pricing errors. 

You may register for any Events either through the Event(s) registration page (“Event(s) Registration Page”) on the Website, or for Events organised by third party Event organisers (“Third Party Event Organisers”) through the respective third party Event organiser’s website (“Third Party Event Organiser’s Website”). For the avoidance of doubt, the Third Party Event Organiser’s Website is governed by the respective Third Party Event Organiser’s Website’s terms and conditions (“Third Party Event Organiser’s Website T&Cs”) and privacy policy. ENTERPRISE SINGAPORE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INJURY, DAMAGE, OR LOSS OF ANY KIND CAUSED AS A RESULT OF YOUR REGISTRATION TO ANY EVENT USING THE RESPECTIVE THIRD PARTY EVENT ORGANISER’S WEBSITE.  

Payment for participation to any Events may be done online or on-site, subject to the terms and conditions relating to each Event whether on this Website or on the Third Party Event Organiser’s Website. 

A. Online Payment

For Events that require payment of any registration fees or any other fees paid for the purpose of participating in an Event (“Fees”) ( “Paying Events”) and where payment online is applicable, payment shall be made online with the registration and must be received prior to the Event (or such other time stipulated by Enterprise Singapore and/or the Third Party Events Organiser at its sole and absolute discretion) (“Online Payment Due Date”) by Enterprise Singapore and/or the Third Party Event Organiser (as the case may be) to guarantee your seat. Enterprise Singapore reserve(s) the right to refuse entry to the Event if payment is not received by Enterprise Singapore and/or the Third Party Events Organiser (as the case may be) prior to the Online Payment Due Date and Enterprise Singapore shall have no liability in that regard.

If you have any enquiries regarding the payment you have made or encounter difficulties making payment online, you may contact the officer in-charge by clicking on “Contact the organiser” at the bottom of the Event Registration Page. For failed transactions relating to Events organised by Enterprise Singapore, arrangements may be made with the officer of Enterprise Singapore to make payment via credit card at such time and venue as designated or directed by Enterprise Singapore prior to the Event (or such other time stipulated by Enterprise Singapore).

B. On-site Payment

For Paying Events where payment on-site is applicable, payment shall be made on-site after registration for the Event to Enterprise Singapore and/or the Third Party Event Organiser (as the case may be). In the event that registration to the Event organised by Enterprise Singapore has been made, but on-site payment has not been made prior to the commencement of the Event to Enterprise Singapore, Enterprise Singapore reserves the right to refuse entry to the Event and Enterprise Singapore shall have no liability in that regard. For the avoidance of doubt, in relation to Events organised by a Third Party Event Organiser where on-site payment has not been made prior to the commencement of the Event to the Third Party Event Organiser, the Third Party Event Organiser may in its discretion, and in accordance with the Third Party Event Organiser’s Website T&Cs, reserve the right to refuse entry to the Event, and Enterprise Singapore shall have no liability in that regard.  

As seats to Events are limited in accordance to the seating capacity of the respective Event venue, registrations will be accepted on a first-come-first-served basis.

Enterprise Singapore and/or the Third Party Event Organiser reserve(s) the right to reject your participation to any Event for incorrect declaration of information provided during the registration to any Event without any liability or recourse to Enterprise Singapore.

For security purposes, all payment information and payments received are encrypted through Secure Socket Layer (“SSL”) technology to ensure that information submitted is protected. However, any loss or damage incurred or sustained by you from making payment over this Website shall be borne solely and exclusively by you. ENTERPRISE SINGAPORE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INJURY, DAMAGE, OR LOSS OF ANY KIND CAUSED AS A RESULT OF PAYMENT MADE OVER THIS WEBSITE.

You should contact your credit card provider immediately if any fraudulent transactions appear on your credit card statements. All enquiries pertaining to these matters should be put to your credit card provider. 

All registrations to Events are subject to the availability of seats in accordance with the seating capacity of the respective Event venue and any seat availability information is subject to change without notice to you. Enterprise Singapore and/or the Third Party Event Organiser reserve(s) the right to refuse any registrations it receives for any reason. In particular, for Events where payment online is applicable, Enterprise Singapore reserve(s) the right to cancel or refuse any registrations where payment is not made by the Online Payment Due Date.

For Events where payment on-site is applicable, in accordance with Clause 4B, Enterprise Singapore reserves the right to refuse entry to the Event if the payment on-site is not made prior to the commencement of the Event.

For the avoidance of doubt, for Events where payment either online or on-site is made to the Third Party Event Organiser, the Third Party Event Organiser may in its discretion, and in accordance with the Event Organiser’s Website T&Cs, reserve the right to refuse entry to the Event and Enterprise Singapore shall have no liability in that regard.

No contract of sale shall be concluded between you and Enterprise Singapore until Enterprise Singapore confirms its acceptance of your registration. By submitting your registration, you agree to all the policies, terms and conditions set forth in this Agreement.

6A. Cancellation Policy

A. Termination or cancellation by Enterprise Singapore

Enterprise Singapore reserves the right, at its sole and absolute discretion, to terminate this Agreement and/or cancel any Events without notice or reason and there shall be no recourse or liability against Enterprise Singapore. Upon termination of this Agreement or cancellation of any Event, Enterprise Singapore may at its sole and absolute discretion return to the customer, any registration fees or any other fees paid for the purpose of participating in an Event or part thereof. Enterprise Singapore shall, in no event, be liable for any damage or loss suffered by the customer upon termination or cancellation as aforesaid.

B. Cancellation of Event by the Third Party Event Organiser

The Third Party Event Organiser may in its discretion, and in accordance with the Third Party Event Organiser’s Website T&Cs, reserve the right to cancel any Events without notice or reason, and there shall be no recourse or liability against Enterprise Singapore in the event the Third Party Event Organiser does decide to exercise its discretion pursuant to this Clause 6A.B. Upon the cancellation of any Event, the Third Party Event Organiser may at its discretion, and in accordance with the Third Party Event Organiser’s Website T&Cs, return to the customer, any amount it deems fit of the registration fees or any other fees paid to the Third Party Event Organiser for the purpose of participating in an Event. For the avoidance of doubt, in no event shall Enterprise Singapore be liable for any damage or loss suffered by you upon cancellation of any Event by the Third Party Event Organiser.

C. Termination or cancellation by the Customer

After registering for an Event and payment of any registration fees or any other fees paid for the purpose of participating in an Event to Enterprise Singapore, if any cancellation is made by the customer seven (7) or more working days prior to the Event, Enterprise Singapore may at its sole and absolute discretion refund any amount it deems fit of the registration fees or any other fees paid to Enterprise Singapore for the purpose of participating in an Event by you to Enterprise Singapore.

In particular, any cancellation made by the customer prior to the Event for Events where registration has been done via the Third Party Event Organiser’s Website, and the payment of any registration fees or any other fees paid for the purpose of participating in an Event has been made to the Third Party Event Organiser, the Third Party Event Organiser may in its discretion, and in accordance with the Third Party Event Organiser’s Website T&Cs, refund any amount it deems fit of the registration fees or any other fees paid for the purpose of participating in an Event by you to the Third Party Event Organiser.

Any refund made to you pursuant to Clauses 6A.A or 6A.C by Enterprise Singapore shall be paid through Giro or bank transfer and you shall be liable to pay any transactional or administrative charges applicable for the purpose of executing the refund. Any refund payable to you pursuant to Clauses 6A.B and Clause 6A.C by the Third Party Event Organiser shall be paid in accordance with the Third Party Event Organiser’s Website T&Cs. 

In the event you are entitled to a refund from Enterprise Singapore pursuant to Clauses 6A.A or 6A.C, you shall receive a notification (“Notification”) from Enterprise Singapore requesting details relating to: (a) the refund payment method of Giro or bank transfer; and (b) the necessary details required to execute the refund by Giro or bank transfer (the “Required Details”). Within 7 days from the Notification, you will be required to provide Enterprise Singapore with the Required Details. 

If cancellation is made by you six (6) working days or less from the date of the Event registered through the Event Registration Page, refund of fees will be at Enterprise Singapore’s discretion. Please contact the respective officer in-charge of the Event to enquire if you are eligible for a refund. Enterprise Singapore’s decision shall be final and no further correspondence will be entertained. For the avoidance of doubt, your entitlement to any refund for any cancellation made by you for Event registered through the Third Party Event Organiser’s Website, will be subject to the discretion of the Third Party Event Organiser, and shall be in accordance with the Third Party Event Organiser’s Website T&Cs.

There shall be no substitution of the participants at Events without the prior written consent of Enterprise Singapore. 

Enterprise Singapore maintains strict physical, electronic, and administrative safeguards to protect your personal information from unauthorised or inappropriate access. Enterprise Singapore maintains strict confidentiality of information submitted by its online customers. Personal information of the customer including, without liability, his or her name, phone number, email address and contact details, and other personal information incidental to the use of the services provided by Enterprise Singapore will be used for the purpose of processing your registration to any Events. If you should consent, you may occasionally receive information from us for the purpose of informing you of upcoming Events and promotions relating to the same. If you do not want to continue receiving such messages from us, you should click on the “Unsubscribe” link provided in the message.

Usually we use personal information you provide only to respond to any queries you may have regarding any of our Events or to process your registration request. We may share the personal information you provide with third party companies (“Third Party Companies”) we have hired to provide services for us. The sharing of person information with such Third Party Companies will only be limited to the extent required to provide the services requested by us from these Third Party Companies.  These Third Party Companies - our vendors - are contractually bound to use personal information we share with them only to perform the services we have hired them to provide. We do not share, sell, or lease personal information about you to any third parties for their marketing use. We will release information about you if you give us your consent or direct us to do so, if we are required by law to do so, or in other legally limited circumstances (for example, to protect your account from fraud).

If you are currently a resident in the European Union, governed by GDPR; upon successful event registration, you have provided consent to the storage and processing of your data (including name, job title, company, e-mail address) with the purpose of enabling your participation in attending the event, together with the processing of your video/photo data for marketing purposes. Upon your consent to sign up for Enterprise Singapore’s newsletter/ mailing list, you have also consent to the use of your data (such as name, email address) for electronic marketing purpose. You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future by an email to marketing@enterprisesg.gov.sg. For more information, please refer to our Privacy Statement.

By registering to attend the Event(s), you also agree to grant permission to Enterprise Singapore, its employees and agents to record your visual/audio images, including, but not limited to, photographs, digital images, voices, sound or video recordings, audio clips, or accompanying written descriptions, and, without notifying you, to use your name and such images for any purpose of Enterprise Singapore, including advertisements for Enterprise Singapore and our programmes.

If you are currently a resident in the European Union, governed by GDPR; upon successful event registration, you have provided consent to the collection and processing of photos or videos of yourself during your participation in the event. Enterprise Singapore shall be allowed to use these photos or videos for marketing purposes; including but not limited to post-event electronic mailer and usage on Enterprise Singapore social media. You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future by an email to marketing@enterprisesg.gov.sg. For more information, please refer to our Privacy Statement.

You agree not to record or digitise any parts of the Event(s) proceedings without prior consent from Enterprise Singapore. If you attempt to conduct any unauthorised recording, Enterprise Singapore reserved the right to request for your immediate removal from the Event premises and to delete any unauthorised recordings made in whatever form.

The content on the Website has been compiled in good faith by Enterprise Singapore but no representation is made or warranty (either express or implied) given as to the completeness or accuracy of the information that it contains.

THE MATERIALS ON THE WEBSITE INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, THE EVENT(S) REGISTRATION PAGE(S) AND/OR THE EVENTS ARE IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ENTERPRISE SINGAPORE DOES NOT MAKE ANY REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES WHATSOEVER AND HEREBY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES (EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY) OF ANY KIND TO YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTY OF SATISFACTORY QUALITY, MERCHANTABILITY, AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, WHETHER ARISING FROM USAGE OR CUSTOM OR TRADE OR BY OPERATION OF LAW OR OTHERWISE OF THE WEBSITE. ENTERPRISE SINGAPORE DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE MATERIALS AND FUNCTIONS CONTAINED IN THE MATERIALS OR ON THE WEBSITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR FREE, THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED OR THAT THE WEBSITE OR THE SERVER IS OR WILL BE FREE FROM ANY VIRUS, WORMS AND/OR OTHER HARMFUL OR INVASIVE ELEMENTS. ENTERPRISE SINGAPORE SHALL ALSO NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INJURY, DAMAGE OR LOSS OF ANY KIND CAUSED AS A RESULT (DIRECT OR INDIRECT) OF THE USE OF THE WEBSITE AND/OR THE EVENT(S) REGISTRATION PAGE(S) INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY INJURY, DAMAGE OR LOSS SUFFERED AS A RESULT OF RELIANCE ON THE CONTENTS CONTAINED IN OR AVAILABLE FROM THE WEBSITE AND/OR THE EVENT(S) REGISTRATION PAGE(S). ENTERPRISE SINGAPORE AND ITS THIRD PARTY COMPANIES SHALL HAVE NO RESPONSIBILITY OR LIABILITY FOR ANY INJURY, DAMAGE OR LOSS CAUSED BY ANY NEGLIGENCE, OMISSION OR FAULT OF ENTERPRISE SINGAPORE, ITS EMPLOYEES, AGENTS OR SUB-CONTRACTORS IN CONNECTION WITH THE WEBSITE, THE EVENT(S) REGISTRATION PAGE(S) AND/OR THE EVENTS.

ENTERPRISE SINGAPORE IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE INTERACTION BETWEEN YOU AND THE THIRD PARTY COMPANIES AND/OR OTHER USERS AND/OR THE THIRD PARTY EVENT ORGANISER’S WEBSITE. YOU ALSO UNDERSTAND THAT BY USING THE SERVICES MAY EXPOSE YOU TO CONTENT THAT YOU CONSIDER OFFENSIVE, INDECENT, OR OBJECTIONABLE. You acknowledge that your reliance or use of the materials on the Website, the Event(s) Registration Page(s), the Third Party Event Organiser’s Website and at the Events shall be at your sole risk. Enterprise Singapore reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to correct any errors or omissions in any portion of the Website. Enterprise Singapore may make any other changes to the Website, the materials and the products, programs, services or prices described in the Website at any time without notice. 

IN NO EVENT SHALL ENTERPRISE SINGAPORE OR ANY OF ITS SUBSIDIARIES BE LIABLE TO YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE OR OTHER DAMAGES (INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY LOST INCOME, REVENUE OR PROFITS, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, LOSS OR DAMAGE OF INFORMATION OR PROGRAMS OR OTHER DATA ON YOUR INFORMATION HANDLING SYSTEM OR OTHER PROPERTY) ARISING DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY FROM

(I)   YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF, OR THE INABILITY TO USE, THE CONTENT, MATERIALS, AND FUNCTIONS OF THE WEBSITE AND/OR THE EVENT(S) REGISTRATION PAGE(S) AND/OR ANY LINKED WEBSITE;
(II)   ANY LOSS OF ACCESS TO OR USE OF THE WEBSITE AND/OR THE EVENT(S) REGISTRATION PAGE(S) HOWSOEVER CAUSED;
(III)   ANY INACCURACY OR INCOMPLETENESS IN, OR ERRORS OR OMISSIONS IN THE TRANSMISSION OF, THE MATERIALS;
(IV)   ANY DELAY OR INTERRUPTION IN THE TRANSMISSION OF THE MATERIALS ON THE WEBSITE AND/OR THE EVENT(S) REGISTRATION PAGE(S), WHETHER CAUSED BY DELAY OR INTERRUPTION IN TRANSMISSION OVER THE INTERNET OR OTHERWISE; OR
(V)   ANY DECISION MADE OR ACTION TAKEN BY YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY IN RELIANCE UPON THE MATERIALS, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER ENTERPRISE SINGAPORE HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGE OR LOSS IN ADVANCE. 

ENTERPRISE SINGAPORE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL COSTS, DAMAGES OR LOSSES ARISING DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY FROM THE EVENTS OR YOUR USE OF THE THIRD PARTY EVENT ORGANISER’S WEBSITE OR ANY OTHER ASPECT RELATED THERETO OR IN CONNECTION WITH THIS AGREEMENT

The maximum aggregate liability of Enterprise Singapore for any claim in any way connected with this Agreement whether in contract, tort or otherwise shall be limited to the amount of registration fees paid by you to Enterprise Singapore under this Agreement to attend the Event registered for.

The Website is owned and operated by Enterprise Singapore. The Website may not be used for any illegal purposes or in any manner inconsistent with this Agreement. Except as otherwise provided, no materials from the Website shall be reproduced, republished, uploaded, posted, transmitted or otherwise distributed in any way without the prior written consent of Enterprise Singapore. Graphics and images on the event website(s) and registration page(s) are protected by copyright and may not be reproduced or appropriated in any manner without the prior written consent of their respective copyright owners.

Subject to the Terms and Conditions of Use, Enterprise Singapore grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, limited right to access, use and display the event website(s) and registration page(s) and the materials thereon.

You may download one (1) copy of any material provided on the event website(s) onto a single computer for your own personal non-commercial use provided that you keep intact all accompanying copyright and other proprietary notices. Modification of any of the materials or use of the materials for any other purpose will be a violation of Enterprise Singapore's copyright and other intellectual property rights.

The Website is protected by copyright as a collective work and/or compilation, pursuant to international copyright laws and international conventions and is the exclusive property of Enterprise Singapore. The contents of the Website are only for your personal, non-commercial, internal use. All materials contained on the Website (such as text, graphics, logos, buttons, icons, images, audio clips, digital downloads, data compilations and software) are protected by copyright and are owned or controlled by Enterprise Singapore or the party credited as the provider of the materials. You will abide by any and all additional copyright notices, information, or restrictions contained in any of the materials on this Website. 

All intellectual property rights in the Event(s) and all content and material distributed at the Events are owned or controlled or licenced to either Enterprise Singapore or their sponsors and speakers presenting at the Events. You may not use or reproduce or allow anyone to use or reproduce any content or material used at such Events or any intellectual property thereof for any reason without the prior consent of Enterprise Singapore.

All software used on or in connection with Website (hereinafter referred to as "the Software") is the property of Enterprise Singapore or its software suppliers and is protected by copyright laws. Enterprise Singapore grants you a limited, revocable (at the sole discretion of Enterprise Singapore), non-exclusive, non-transferable, personal licence to use the Software on a single computer, provided that you do not (and do not allow any third party to) copy, modify, adapt, create a derivative work of, reverse engineer, reverse assemble or otherwise attempt to discover any source code, sell, assign, sublicence or grant a security interest in or otherwise transfer any right in the Software. For the avoidance of doubt, this licence shall not operate as any transfer of title.

The Website or any part thereof may not be reproduced, duplicated, copied, sold, resold, visited or otherwise exploited for any commercial purpose.

You hereby represent, warrant and covenant that you shall not upload, post or transmit to or distribute or otherwise publish through the Website any materials which :-
(a)   may restrict or inhibit any other user from using and enjoying the Website;
(b)   are unlawful, threatening, harmful, abusive, libellous, defamatory, obscene, vulgar, offensive, pornographic, profane, threatening, sexually explicit, seditious, indecent or contain materials which are objectionable on moral, religious, political or other grounds;
(c)   may constitute or encourage conduct that would constitute a criminal offence, give rise to civil liability or otherwise violate the laws in Singapore;
(d)  may violate, plagiarise or infringe the rights of third parties including, without limitation, copyright, trademark, patent, rights of privacy or publicity or any other proprietary right in any jurisdiction;
(e)  may contain any viruses, trojan horses, worms, time bombs or other harmful component designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment, or any data or information contained therein;
(f)  may contain advertising of any kind;
(g)  may constitute or contain false or misleading indications of origin or statements of fact;
(h)  may interfere with or disrupt the operation, availability and functionality of this Website or servers or networks connected to this Website;
