Building global standards
Enterprise Singapore is a member of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC).
We partner the global standards community to develop international standards and address areas including sustainability, digitalisation, and resilience.
We form mirror communities, where industry experts can come together to discuss and provide inputs to standardisation work with the ISO and IEC.
Singapore's efforts on the global stage
Singapore participates actively on the global standardisation stage to develop and showcase the role of standards in addressing business issues. In 2023, Choy Sauw Kook, Director-General for Quality & Excellence at Enterprise Singapore, was elected as a member in the ISO Council to contribute to the organisation. In 2022, Mr Andrew Chow, President of the Singapore National Committee of IEC, was elected as member of the IEC Board for a 3-year term to advance initiatives and foster the success of the IEC community.
