GIA+ Initiative
The Global Innovation Alliance (GIA) is a network of Singapore and overseas partners in major innovation hubs and key demand markets, with a focus on technology and innovation.
Under GIA, the GIA+ Initiative supports Singapore-based startups to join global cohorts of best-in-class accelerator programmes. Identified by EnterpriseSG, these programmes are designed to help startups scale overseas by connecting them with in-market experts to provide mentoring opportunities and resources that enable startups to refine their tech and business models, and expand their networks globally. By supporting startups in securing opportunities, this initiative aims to empower them to compete internationally and achieve improved market and growth outcomes.
For eligible Singapore-based startups, the GIA+ Initiative offers financial support to defray the costs of participating in these programmes. The funding covers up to 50% of qualifying costs, capped at S$35,000 for General Tech programmes and S$50,000 for Deep Tech programmes. GIA+ Initiative will also cover programme fees and in-market costs such as cost-of-living allowances and airfare.
Singapore-based startups can choose from a list of curated accelerator partners offering competitive acceleration programmes.
